Biannual Bibiliothon Wrap-Up

The Biannual Bibliothon is a reading challenge that went from July 14-20. It involves video (booktube), instagram (bookstagram) and reading challenges as well as “sprints” on Twitter where you and all of the other participants read for short periods of time to see how much you can read in one sitting. Because I have a pretty crazy schedule and because I don’t see myself ever getting into BookTube, I was a selective participant:

Reading Challenges (4.5/6 completed):

  1. Group Book (The Wicked Deep) – started, but didn’t finish
  2. Book from someone else’s TBR √
  3. Book that’s been on your TBR for over a year √
  4. A predicted 5 star book √
  5. A book in a different voice than your own (sort of?)
  6. The last book you bought √

Instagram Challenges (4/7 completed):

  1. Books of all colors of the rainbow
  2. Favorite fan art or merch (Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills)
  3. Favorite season (Halloween is a season…)
  4. Bookworm in the sun (with a cute view)

Though I didn’t tweet my progress, I participated in many of the Twitter sprints and even finished a book in one day by doing so. Throughout the week, I finished 3 books and read pieces of 3 others:

Completed:

  • Book on someone else’s TBR – Becky CHOSE books for my TBR, so I feel like that counts. Both Caraval and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo were chosen by her.
  • A book that’s been on my TBR for over a year – Caraval
  • A predicted 5 star – The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
  • A different voice – SORT OF – Evelyn Hugo, but it would be a spoiler to tell you why
  • The last book I bought – All Your Perfects

I also read pieces of:

  • The Wicked Deep
  • Splintered
  • Illuminae

Overall, this was super fun, and I even won a shoutout for one of my bookstagram posts! I look forward to the next bibliothon!

  1. Sounds like you were pretty productive! Nice job. I wish I had know about the Bibliothon sooner or I would have joined in. Oops. 😬 Somehow I missed it.
