Alex Six|Review

Alex Six – Published 2019

“Time and time again the procedure doesn’t work. Alexa and Francis were wealthy executives who had everything, except for kids. When he tragically passed away, she gave up hope for being a mother until she met Vick, who is a perfect doppelgänger of her husband.

She pays him for his donations to produce a child who resembles her husband. Vick’s marriage begins to strain. Alex wants his genes and is wealthy, attractive, powerful and obsessed.

He has no idea she is watching him. ” – Goodreads

Holy cannoli. What did I just listen to?! I binged this audiobook today and my heart was racing the entire time.

This is one of those books that as soon as I finished I needed to talk about. A book that I turn to my husband and try to explain while he nods and pretends to follow how quickly I’m talking.

This gave me some Gone Girl and Verity vibes, and I’m here for it. Neither MC is what I’d classify as a “good” person, and the dark places they’re willing to go is shocking, whether it’s for wealth or “love”. Alex is incredibly obsessed, well beyond stalker status, and the things she does to Vic (Vick? I did the audio, so I don’t know) and his family – yikes.

The ending was very satisfying, which is not how I tend to feel at the end of a thriller, so I appreciated the twists and turns that kept coming until the bitter, bitter end. I am a fan!
