Author you’ve read the most books from: Colleen Hoover
Best sequel ever: I really liked the Matched series and all of the books in that, same goes for Delirium.
Currently reading: Illuminae & Splintered
Drink of choice while reading: Coffee, but I don’t multitask well
E-Reader of physical book? Both. Sometimes I’ll read the same book in both versions so that I can read it on the go on my phone, but I tend to read on my e-reader or phone at night so I don’t have to worry about a lamp/headlamp.
Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in high school: Well, I didn’t date much in high school, but I had (and still have) a legit crush on Edward Cullen and Rishi Patel.
Glad you gave this book a chance: Caraval – some people hated it, some loved it. I’m glad I gave it a shot.
Hidden gem book: Sisters in Sanity by Gayle Forman. I don’t feel like this book gets any hype, but it’s so good.
Important moment in your reading life: Actually reading Ethan Frome in high school and realizing that not all classics were terrible.
Just finished: The Wicked Deep
Kinds of books you won’t read: I don’t read a ton of graphic novels. I can’t get into them.
Longest book you’ve read: Probably one of the Harry Potter books?
Major book hangover because of: Kasie West. When I finish one of her books I know I have to wait until a new one comes out, now that I’ve read them all.
Number of bookcases you own: there are 2 actual shelves in our house full, one of kids books and one of my books. The rest of my TBR is on the headboard in our guest room, and the rest of my daughter’s books are on her toy cube case and in 2 boxes (board books). In my classroom there are 9-10.
One book you have read multiple times: All Harry Potter books and On the Island, and I don’t know why I like it so much.
Preferred place to read: In bed, on the couch, on the deck in the sun.
Quote that you like from a book you’ve read: “So you keep your ocean, I’ll take the Lake.” – Slammed by Colleen Hoover
Reading regret: I regret not making time to read when I was pregnant with my daughter. I thought it made me nauseous and missed so many months that I could have been reading before I had a tiny human permanently attached to my chest, and now hip.
Series you started and need to finish: Everland – the first was pretty good and I definitely want to read the next two and the prequel.
Three of your all-time favorite books: The Catcher in the Rye, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Sharp Objects.
Unapologetic fangirl for: All of Adam Silvera’s books. So, so, so good.
Very excited for this release more than all the others: The Cheerleaders because I’m a cheer coach and I love mysteries/spooky books.
Worst bookish habit: I made a post about this earlier this week! Worst bad habit: reading too many books at once and not finishing any of them in a timely manner because of it!
X marks the spot (bookmarks): I have an Owlcrate subscription, so it’s pretty rare that I can’t find a bookmark. When I can’t find one, or when a student needs one, I usually fold a sticky note in half.
Your latest book purchase: The Wicked Deep.
Zzz snatcher book: Tara Sivec’s books keep me up all night reading because they’re so funny and read so quickly that I lose track of time.
